Hi

I'm puzzled with this one! It was caught in last week by sweeping net - in Póvoa Dão - Silgueiros - Viseu. And has about 6 mm or so... it has a profile head like a muscid, antennae resembling a normal muscid... but then chaetotaxy and specially the very strong bent in M-.vein... add a mystery to this fly!

what do you think about this one?

aha. that explains many things on this fly!
But even so... I keep remain the same.. knowing the genus for this one would be great. Perhaps Liekele can help on this one.

According to the Thomas Pape this is a Sarcophila cf. meridionalis . Very strng to be really a S. meridionalis
