Can someone be so kind and explain to me what this marked organ is.
Species is (
Gonia capitata)

It's a tasting organ (though the concept of 'taste' in insects is probably completely different to the way we understand it in humans) :) I would guess that 'smelling' is most linked to the function of the antennae.
It is also a useful feature to note when identifying some species :D

they are very notably spoon-shaped in Lispe species, Muscidae;)
