Hi together,

numerous flies of this species (I suppose) took advantage of the sunny weather and gathered together at sun exposed cut faces of fresh lumbered beech stems.

Size: 6.7mm
Location: Blaubeuren, S-Germany. Montane deciduous woodland.

Nice shot !. Should be a male of Heleomyza serrata species group !. But it would be really important to see the gonostyli (surstyli). Try please, to stick out the postabdominal appendices !.
If you do it I will give you at once the correct species name ! :D

Hi Andrzej,
hereŽs a shot of ventral postabdomen. Resolution and sharpness could be better, but I hope you`ll see the important details. Thanx!
