Hi

Meigenia is a rather complicated genus as I see it and this one is unquestionably Meigenia sp. Therefore I need a helping hand.
Following the Tschorsnig/Herting key for Central Europe the fly keys out nicely to M. uncinata.
The genitalia seem to fit the drawings: Surstyli longer than cerci and both curved upwards.
In combination with the pattern on the abdomen it should be Meigenia uncinata. Is this correct?
At the time of the Central European key (1994) a find in Denmark of uncinata would be well outside the range of the species.

Data:
Length 7.3 mm.
Captured 25. VIII 2008 on Pastinaca sativa in dry meadow in small deciduous forrest near Copenhagen.
