This is particularly interesting to me. If you pick the galls when the larvae are fully grown, place the galls on some damp sand in a container. You might be lucky and the adults will emerge (?when).
I will name any adult males if you send them to me.
There are no recorded Chirosia species bred from Dryopteris, but perhaps this name is a synonym of another genus? C. betuleti has been bred from Athyrium
