Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Small black fly with big red eyes

I've shot this small big-eyed fly (about 3 mm) at September 1, 2005 near St.-Petersburg. At first glance, it resembles Pipunculidae, but I'm not sure. Sorry for bad image quality...:( Is it enough for identification? Next summer I'll try to take better photos with macro-lens.

It's been a while since I looked at the Platypezidae, but it could well be Paraplatypeza atra.
