Hi


This was spotted on 20th March in Silgueiros - Viseu. In the same spot it was possible to see Bombylius undatus.

Which Bombylius is this? Beware that the hairs are grey.. the flash can do tricks sometimes. But the hairs of this fly are grey. It has a median line only on abdomen, not continuing on scutum.

EDIT: Title changed from "Bombylius sp." to "Bombylius fimbriatus"

according the angle we see this fly with very soft brownish hues, or whitish. But in general is more grey. Specially the superficial hairs.

i feel i can confidently call this one B. fimbriatus.
