This photo was granted by a friend of mine: Artour from Panama. He is a marine biologist (expert on Crustacea) so he travels a lot to other countries like... Borneo.. :D

So he took this photo to a Pyrgotidae fly, I think. Is it possible to reach, at least, to genus level?

Could also be a Platystomatid fly.

Could it be Tephritidae? Bactrocera-like or Dacinae?

Is it possible to enlarge the basal part of the wing or were the photos in the resolution you just posted them?

I will ask my friend if he has some more detailed photos with basal part of the wing.

AQ assume it was a digital photo and in that case (unless he already cropped it before sending it to you) there must be more detail.

As per Wang & Chen, 2004 (Acta Entomologica Sinica, 47(4):490-498, Fig. 1) it's Loxoneura decora (Fabr.), Platystomatidae, but very similar wing pattern in Hendel, 1914 (Genera Insectorum, 157, Tafel 9, Fig. 168) is given there as L. fascipennis Hend. Both are known from Borneo.
