I think this slim, bristly beefly has to be an Amictus, maybe pulchellus but there may well be other possibilities?
Several of them were feeding on coastal flowers on the north coast of Samos, Greece, within sight of the Turkish mainland, and their abdomens pulsed up and down rhythmically as they fed.

I'd be grateful if anyone could confirm/ correct my suggested ID for this Samos beefy.
