Hi,

From the thick hind legs and small size (about 2mm) I think it is probably a beetle of the subfamily Alticinae. Photographed 20km West of Paris on a daisy.
Any idea of the genus/species?
Thanks for your help,
Cheers,
FRV

Nitidulidae, probably Meligethes, species determination from only this photo is apparently impossible.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
