Another request - this time because of careless handling this beast has lost its head. I have seen this venation before but can't place in now. Any ideas,...?

Syrphidae -- long basal cells, long cell cup, cell r5 closed.

I think so too, and damaged though it is I believe my specimen to be S. sibirica.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
