Hello,

I would like to have your opinion on this one I found at edge of a drying pool in center of France. Is it O schembrii? I know there is other species in France, but don't know how to separate them.

The front tarsi of schembrii are orange, so this is in the mantis complex. From the abdominal markings, I would say this is manicata, but I have not seen the third species, palearctica, which has been reported from France. To be sure, you would need to catch a male and examine the genitalia.
