Hi, Center of France, dec. 2014, 4-5 mm, on Bamboo leaf near a pond. Could it be a Cordyla species (male) ? Eugene |

Based on wing venation I would say Phronia. The antennae are too long for Cordyla, too. Did you collect the specimen?

I would say Exechia dorsalis, male. In comparison with the common Exechia fusca, it has a single light triangular spot on the side of the abdomen and somewhat lighter margins of mesonotum. See e.g. here: http://www.spessart-fliegen.de/diptera/mycetophilidae/exechia/exechia_dorsalis/habs.html Jan |
