Galicia (Spain), 22/07/2015. Looks like Atylotus latistriatus. It is correct? Thanks. Regards, Luis Álvarez Luis Alvarez attached the following image: [191.54Kb] |

Looks like a fulvus to me: very yellow legs, short and broad antenna. Most females of Atylotus have hairy eyes, though in latistriatus the hairs are longer. The difference, though, is very subtle indeed. Latistriatus is restricted to salty marshes, so if this is from a mountain in Galicia.... Theo |

Thanks a lot, Theo. A. fulvus was what I thought first but hairs of vertex confused me. Looks like blacks (not whites and shorts). I also thought the eyes were pubescent . I will look better next time. The photo is taken in Pontevedra but not near the coast. Best regards, Luis |
