South-east Norway, 17. April, in open pine forest - on the ground. Is it possible to say anything more about this fly?

Both Cyrtophleba's are very similar and I didn't expect vernalis in Norway, but it seems to be right .

Thanks Theo! C.vernalis and C.ruricola are on the list of "Norwegian" species (Artsdatabanken), although observations missing. I still keeps the fly. Is possible to identify it by photos?

Hi!
Trying this again.
If this is not good enough closeups, what should I look for ( regarding to ocellar bristles) in the microscope?

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol
