Well, i can't actually see enough........the ovipositor has shape that is shared by a lot of little species of Dysmachus, two of these (maybe more that i don't know of because i use an old key 1930 by Engel) D. bifurcus and D. dasyproctus have tibiae with a red base (the rest have entirely black legs). Of dasyproctus is mentioned that facial gibbosity is relatively small and that is what it looks like on your pictures but D. bifurcus remains an option and is also known from Turkey the ovipositor is right for that species. I think only a male can help you to make sure......

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
