Beris schaposchnikowi is a Caucasian species. I do not expect it to occur in Germany. The key for the Stratiomyidae of the Netherlands (http://www.reposi...ent/529708) led me to B. fuscipes or B. hauseri. Unfortunately the picture is rather small, a detail of the antennae would be useful. Still more useful would be expert opinion by Menno Reemer or John Smit Smile!
Regards, Sundew

Hello sundew,
Thank you for your instructions and the link "Waarneming.nl".
Unfortunately, my picture shows a few details for the accurate determination.
Many greetings,
Klaus

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
