Hello, I would appreciate correction/ confirmation of this fly. It came to a moth trap in Brighton (south-east England) a few days ago. Habitat - suburban garden. Thanks

Ah this is not Tephritis conura, but Tephritis divisa/separata. I'll have to check literature to be certain. I suspect this one to be the first, since it is rather 'common' in autumn if you sweepnet Picris (at least in Belgium :-)) cheers |

Thank you. That's really helpful. Tephritis divisa isn't in my key. I think I need a newer key! :-)
