Hope this ok to post ones I can't identify.
This is a small fly (about 4mm) that was frantically running around in circles on a leaf with brief pauses every now and then . Taken today 8th sept.- I live on the south coast UK- taken in garden in semi-shade.
Just liked the eyes on this thing.

This is a flat-footed fly, family Platypezidae. Provisional identification is Lindneromyi dorsalis but I will have to check. I do not have the necessarry literature here at the moment.
