Ormosia ?
If yes, possible to specify a species ?
Thank you,
Guénael.

oh yes, this proposal looks better. Thank Nikita !

For the species, Molophilus ochraceus looks good there and seems possible in northern France.
But other species too perhaps?

Hello,
In this photo we see a little better hypopygium:
www.galerie-insecte.org/galerie/image/dos150/temp/diptere_1c_saint.jpg
The hypopygium of M.griseus like him ...
But other possible in northern France are also similar, perhaps?
Thank you,
Guénael.

With two 'buts' (pictures not entirely in focus and my keys probably do not inlcude all species) I would sugges appendiculatus

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
