Dear forum, in this thread: http://www.dipter...read_id=32 I understand that e. g. the bristles on upper head are helpful to separate S, opaca from other species. As these ocellar bristles are a bit visible on my pics, I dare to show that fly here. Thorax did not appear shiny, neither "live" nor on pics, so maybe S. sexmaculata ist not likely? What do you think? Thanks a lot in advance for taking a look at this. aug, 21st, 2015, northern upper rhine rift, southwest germany, kitchen window sill, 6mm Best regards, Thorsten ThorstenRoeder attached the following image: [33.44Kb] Edited by ThorstenRoeder on 25-08-2015 20:16 |

yes Sapromyza sp... but does has the "look and feel" of Sapromyza sexpunctata but one would need a specimen to be sure. |

Thank you, Mark, for your answer! Meanwhile I realized, when reading this thread: http://www.dipter...d_id=19179, that the position of ocellar bristles, which is relevant, cannot be seen well on my photos. So, I hope to keep in mind to catch the ocellar triangle better, when meeting such a fly nest time:-). Best regards, Thorsten |
