Photographed by Tom Murray in New Hampshire, USA; July 5, 2014 Is this a female Sarcophaga? Size is about 16 mm. Prosternum parallel-sided; mid-tibiae with 2 large, one small AD; one large pair of PS DC setae with 2 or 3 very small pairs just anterior to those; white setae on genae; posterior bristle of mid-tibiae about same size as its PD bristle; postalar wall setose Using Manual of Nearctic Diptera, I get to Sarcodexia; using the newer Manual of Central American Diptera seems to lead to Sarcophaga |
