Hello, Pictured this tabanid in Sierra de Ayllon (Segovia) Central Spain at 1300 mts., during beginning of July 2015. Open grassland pastures. Sheep grazing in the area. Size about 15 mm. Yes,mthatbhelps. It is a member of the Tabanus glaucopis group, either castellanus or exclusus. Difficult to judge the width of frontal stripe from this angle. Theo |
