Definitely Aterrima group. I'd rather suggest H. caucasica - it should be common in the mountains of Central Europe. However the palpi are not brown and the abdomen is not entirely black. So might be H. aterrima after all... Let's wait Theo for more definite answer |

It is pretty dark, pity we cannot judge the wing colouration accurately, but I think it is H. aterrima. You can nicely see some golden hairs, as already noted by Sergiy, which again illustrates that there are intermediate forms between auripila and aterrima s.s. (hence: aterrima and not caucasica). theo |
