is this a scatophaga species? Seen in Belgium, Burst on 2015-04-16 sitting on the blossom of an appletree. ------------------- My first thought was a Scatophaga, but after the reply of Jurgen I controlled my images and i think he is right. The yellow colour are pollen. Edited by vin47 on 20-04-2015 09:23 |

Hi, looks like Empididae. The picture is too small to say more (at least for me). Best regards, Jürgen -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Juergen Peters Borgholzhausen, Germany WWW: http://insektenfo... -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= |

Rhamphomyia. Anal corner of the wing appears to be darkened so it might be cinerascens.
