The necessary characters are not good visible, but likely Hylemya species. For species level, we need a more closer look... Johanna |

A crop of the arista and if possible the apical end of the midfemur to see if there is a subapical ad present (very short hair and sometimes very difficult to see) |

Hylemya seems right. I had to make a terrible version of the last photo in Photoshop to see if there is an subapical ad seta on the mid femur, but it seems to be present. (on the photo just above the Arrow and barely visible) With such subapical ad seta it could be Hylemya urbica or Hylemya variata. The differents between those two species is mostly only with surtainty to ID if we can look at the genitals. On outer characters the differents are: Hylemya urbica: Longest rays of arista barely as long as width of postpedicel. Male: Frons at narrowest part more than half as wide as outer distance between posterior ocelli; frontal vitta at this point at least half as wide as frons Hylemy variata: Longest rays of arista distinctly longer than width of postpedicel. Male: Frons at narrowest part at the most half as wide as outer distance between posterior ocelli; frontal vitta at this point less than half as wide as frons, sometimes suppressed by contiguous parafrontalia. These characters are mostly not reliable from photos!
