hello, I need some help with this fly from 17-04.
I found some "yellow" flies in the gallery, but nothing seems to fit ..on sight... size approx8-9mm

thanks John, you mean like Norellisoma or Megaphthalma?
the overall appearance of the torax was more "round and thick" than I see most of the scathophaga toraxes. But why not Smile I will change the search-title

checked again the scathophaga images and it could indeed be
S.scybalaria or S. inquinita...I missed those the first time.
found another specimen yesterday for some better images.
