This very small (about 5-6 mm lenght) Tachinidae was inside a flower of Dietes robinsoniana in the Orotava Botanical Garden, Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife island, some days ago. It's a shady garden with many trees. Any ideas? Thanks! |

A Siphona to my eyes. At least, Siphonini. If I am right with the genus, only two species cited for the Canary Is up to 2002: variata and seyrigi. Theo might be able to tell them apart... Edited by Piluca_Alvarez on 01-04-2015 11:16 |
