Yes the arista is plumose. Yes the subscutellum is prominent, in that it has a large surface area and is pushing the scutellum up, but is not bulging. |

I bet my shoes this is a Calliphorid. The subscutellum in Tachindae should be very convex, as a "swimming band" ( see previous post on that matter). Theo |

Well that clears it up nicely. I've been calling a lot of stuff tachinid just because of a large subscutellum. I wear one of those swimming bands all the time, can't get rid of it. |
