Hello everybody,

can you help me to ID this kind of Muscidae? I hope it is one...

Found in: Germany, Baden-Württemberg, Eschbach near Waldshut, 05.03.15. A lot of them are sitting next to a beehive, some of them in the entrance hole of the bee hive! It looks like, as if they are accepted by the bees, flying around them.

Thanks fpr your help,
Christoph

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
