Hi! Handsome fly I think it's a female of Tabanus striatus species complex, though have no idea on its further ID. Maybe Theo can tell us more. |

Looks like striatus complex. common and difficult. Need to work on that. Is that northern or southern Vietnam ? Theo |

So, it is very likely it is Tabanus striatus itself. This is considered a ' northern' species, but this is from a Thai perspective (Burton, 1978), so that should be OK. Nevertheless, Burton mentions only 1 record from Vietnam. No idea if that is due to undersampling or real. Theo |
