This slit-legged fly, probably Micropezidae, was found in Chintamani Kar Bird Sanctuary in West Bengal, INDIA in January '15

Cothornobata or Trepidarioides, I think.

Subjects: Taxonomy, Systematics, Biodiversity.
Area: Neotropical Region, Caatinga.
Families: Ctenostylidae, Cypselosomatidae, Helosciomyzidae, Micropezidae, Muscidae, Neriidae, Pseudopomyzidae, Syringogastridae, Somatiidae.

do u have any documentation on Indian/Asian micropezidae?

No, I don't. I also believe that there is no documentation beyond the original descriptions and catalogues, or checklists.

A review of the Cothornobata species from Southeast Asian by Marshall et al. is upcoming.
