Hi,

my non-expert opinion: Neomya cornicina (Muscidae).
Best regards,
Jürgen

Thanks a lot! It seems like a very good choice to me - and we will see if other experts agree.

Best regards

Krister

Neomyia for sure, but nothing tells it is not viridescens. A dorsal view is needed, or check yourself :

N. cornicina
: 1 prst acr, 3 post dc
N. viridescens : 0 prst acr, 4 post dc (rarely 3)

acr = acrostichal setae
dc = dorso-centrakl setae
post = post-sutural
prst = pre-sutural

Stephane.

Many thanks for good info! It seems to be 1 prst acr and 3 post dc - and cornicina. I hope I have got it correct?

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
