I am not too familiar with Haematopota males, but 1st antennal segments seems to be rather long, so I guess it is H. italica.

The first antennal segment is indeed pretty long. Yet, it is not italica, the colouration of the legs is off.
I hestitate to come to this conclusion, but it looks like H. subcylindrica.
Definitely not sure.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
