Hello, I think this Nematocera should be a Sciaridae, from the genitalia look like Sciara sp. ♂, like this one in the photo gallery, Sciara humeralis: http://www.dipter...to_id=3756 30.09.2014 - North Italy - Padua Thanks for the help! Yep nice find this is Sciara humeralis Zetterstedt, 1851. A very common and widespread sciarid that inhabits swampland and wet environments. A colleague of mine has found them in lake-marshland where vegetation is breaking down. very best wishes Bobby D Leprechaun on tour |
