Dates: Northern Germany, Schleswig-Holstein, Schenefeld near Hamburg, at an uncultivated natural area, 25 msm, Outsidefoto: kuv, 17th of May 2013. Empis Mating while female feeds is typical behavior for Empidinae. The swollen tarsi suggest Hilara, but that genus has dichoptic males and different shape of fork of R4+5. |
