Italy, Apennines near Lucca, 370 msl, 31st July Valley slope, open woodland. white umbel flowers. This should belong to the frater subgroup of Linnaemya, note the row of extra black bristles behind the postocular row and the extensive hairs on vein M. The length is 8mm so I think this is Linnaemya frater rather than the smaller lithosiophaga, but cannot be 100% sure unless someone has other identification features? Same here. I have very little experience in this group and I am also struggling with the females. Theo |
