Pegomya species.... Can you make a crop of the head, to see of there are yellowish hairs present on the lower part of the occiput and if there are interfrontals present....or not. Johanna |

Indeed not much more to see on your crop, but looking at the date (13 Oct.), the yellowish humeral calli and dark striped abdomen, I think one from the winthemi species group (larvae feed on mushroom). It is not P. winthemi, because the last 3 segments of the mid and hind tarsi are not expanded. I need the specimen in hand to say anything more…. Johanna |
