September 19th, 2014 I collected some larvae of Nematus salicis with an egg of parasites on them. I thougt this were eggs of an ichneumonidea Polyblastus cothurnatus.

(For extensive details of the proces in Dutch see this link: http://forum.waar...msg1697378 or a short version of the Tachinidae here: http://forum.waar...sg1708701)

I am curious to know which Tachinidae this can be. Hope anyone can help me with these.

Best regards,
John Bouwmans

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
