Hello everyone,
I am writing to help me identify this second Tabanidae.
I do not know much about this group ...
Fly captured in France, in the south-west in August, 2014.
(12-13mm)

Thank you to you all!

Benoît

Tabanus bromius with very high probability. Maybe you can try to refresh it as in your last Tabanus. I suppose you will see one eyeband here.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
