The most impressive robberfly I saw in France this summer. 9th July 2014, northwest of Montpellier, at the river L'Herault.
It was picked up from the water and kindly displayed to me by a Spanish Odonatologist. As it was wet, we gambled that it would not fly away.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
