Denmark, Samsø (Kattegat), near Måruphavn, about 5 msm, coastal region, at an uncultivated little meadow, Outsidefoto: kuv, 9th of August 2014. Sorry, no idea of ID (First I thought Tachinidae but I couldn't find it in the gallery). Please help.

It reminds me of Drymeia (Muscidae).

Edit: But consider also Anthomyiidae. It doesn't look like any in my area.

Thank's for compliment - but I'm very sorry, as I can't remember if feeding on nectar or pollen.
Greetings Kuv

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
