Interested to know why this pregnant fly was passing a droplet every 30secs or so from its abdomen.

Haematobosca stimulans (Muscidae). Adult females feed on cattle blood. This individual may be getting rid of excess water and salts after extracting proteins from the blood for egg maturation.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
