Ochthera sp. (Ephydridae)
Location: Gardens of the Simón Bolívar University campus, Caracas, Venezuela. 1220 m.a.s.l.
Date: 25-vi-2014
Collection method: Sweep sample.

If possible, I would like to know the species. I have yet to pin the specimen, and will gladly upload additional views of specific structures if needed.

If the specimen is in alcohol, could you get a ventral shot of the sternites, then dry the specimen and get a shot of the face from directly in front? It's a female, so the sternite shapes and the facial pattern are the only features we can use without dissection.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
