California, USA June 1, 2014 Apparently this used to be Wohlfahrtia opaca (Coquillett), but that name may be a synonym of vigil (Walker). I do not have the catalog of Sarcophagidae names. John Carr attached the following image:  [111.26Kb] |

Thomas Pape says he considers Wohlfahrtia opaca to be a color variant of vigil, but there is disagreement on this point. |
