Hi,

I found this Hybomitra hiding among a whole batch of H expollicata i caught 2 weeks ago, while hunting with Christoophe in Camargue. (well, hunting wouldn't be the word; he showed me is technique: sit in front of his car and wait for the Tabanid to come on it. It's a bit lazy but it work suprasingly well! Smile )
I made me believe even more Tabanid lover are just the laziest Dipterists. Pfft

So, for this specimen, my main propositions are ciureai or muehlfeldi, with a (little) preference on the first one.
I believe eyes where unbounded (or we would have notice the deference with expollicata)

ciureai.
Based both on features and habitat. ciureai is pretty salt tolerant, meuhfeldi is not.
