Found by lagoon in the steppes, Villafáfila, Zamora on 16.08.2013. The further I can go is some species of Bithia by the pale basicostas and smoothly bent M vein. But surely do exist more Tachinids sharing these characters. Confirmation or correct ID will be most welcome Thanks in advance for whatever help! The apical scutellar bristles are (suerect, a clear indication of the Bithia modesta-group ! So you are right. It is a female and I am not going to call it from pictures, difficult group ! Theo |

Theo, just Bithia sp. for sure makes me extremely happy! Getting the modesta-group is far more than I could ever expert if is indeed Bithia! Thank you very much once more!! |
