This one is driving me mad Sad Found in Madrid mountains on 25.05.2013 in clearings by oak forest. I am sure it isn't Peleteria or Tachina. Reminds me more of a Nowickia, but doesn't fit. Closer to Panzeria??? Whatever help will be most welcome. I cannot struggle with it any longer Sad Thanks in advance!! Wink

It is a Nowickia, but not a common one: N. rondanii (or just possibly strobli).

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
