This group of flies has been bothering me for years. I've been collecting them from various habitats all over Malaysia, but I couldn't even get close to a genus name until recently. Are these Gymnodia? Can anyone recognise these species? Collected from highland forests: Specimen 1:    Specimen 2:    Collected from a highland farm: Specimen 1 (Male)    Specimen 2 (Female)    Collected from a mangrove forest: Specimen 1:    Specimen 2:    Collected from a suburban area: Specimen 1:    Specimen 2:

Please, one specimen per thread for best clarity. There are many genera, including an Ephydridae (last specimen). Stephane. |
