Hallo

Bavaria, 20.July
At a forest on Daucus carota there was these 1cm Syrphidae(?).
When it belongs to family Syrphidae it must be Eristalis or Volucella?

Regards,
Dennis

It is an Eristalis, but some of the Syrphidae-specialists should say which species.

When its Eristalis, it could be a female E.dimidiata?

Dennis

Nope dimidiata is a species from North America. This seems to be a female Eristalis alpina.
